DisasterServices.com is a publisher. We do not have accounts, quote forms or lead forms, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or address.

What we collect

  • Basic, cookie-free analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, gives us aggregate statistics such as page views, referring sites, country and page-load speed. It does not use cookies or build a profile of you.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It sets first-party cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.
  • Email you send us. If you email us, we keep your message to answer it and fix any error you report.
  • Things your own browser stores. Interactive checklists remember which boxes you ticked in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Advertising and partners

We may later show ads from an advertising network. Ad networks and their partners may use cookies or similar technology to show and measure ads, including ads based on your interests. When we add an ad network, this page will name it and link to its privacy statement, and we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing.

If you click a partner link or call a partner phone number, you are dealing with that company under its privacy policy. We do not receive your contact details.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. To make a request, email editor@disasterservices.com. We will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date at the top.
