Advertising disclosure

Last updated October 19, 2026

DisasterServices.com is free to read. It is supported by advertising. Here is exactly what that means, and what it doesn't.

What we do

  • Display ads. Ads served by an ad network, labeled "Advertisement." We keep them away from safety instructions.
  • Sponsorships. A company may pay a flat fee to appear in a placement labeled "Sponsored by [company name]."
  • Partner links and phone numbers. Some pages may show a link or phone number labeled "Partner." If you call or click, you deal directly with that company and we may be paid. We never receive your contact details.
  • Affiliate links. Some product links are paid links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Paid links are marked "(paid link)" next to the link.

What we never do

  • We never ask for your name, phone number or address to "get quotes," and we never sell or share contact details.
  • We never let payment change what we write, recommend or rank. Unsponsored information is never reordered for money.
  • We never place ads or partner offers above safety instructions on our first-48-hours pages.
  • We never take payment to promote health tests, supplements or "detox" products.
